The Questions Before the Cameras Roll
[001]
What kind of videos can you create for us?
I work across a range of formats, including commercials, branded content, social media videos, interviews, event coverage, product videos, corporate content and short-form creative projects. If you have something specific in mind, we can shape the production around your needs.
[002]
How does the whole production process work?
We start with a conversation about what you’re trying to achieve. From there, I can help develop the idea, plan the production, handle the shoot and take care of the edit through to the final delivery. The level of involvement can be as hands-on or straightforward as your project requires.
Discovery and creative direction
Pre-production: script, schedule, crew, and locations
Production with a clear, calm plan
Editing, feedback, finishing, and delivery
[003]
What if we only have a rough idea?
That’s completely fine. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can develop the idea together and work out the creative approach, format, production requirements and overall direction from there.
[004]
How long will our project take, and how do revisions work?
Timelines depend on the type and scale of the project. Once I understand the scope, I’ll give you a clear production timeline. For edits, I’ll provide a first cut for review and we can make reasonable revisions to get the final video where it needs to be.
[005]
How much does a project cost, and what is included?
Every project is different, so pricing depends on the scope, crew, equipment, locations, production requirements and final deliverables. I offer production at $200/hr (Single cam) and editing at $200 per 30 seconds. Pre-production is quoted separately based on the requirements of the project.
[006]
Can you work remotely, travel, or collaborate with our in-house team?
Yes. I can work with your existing team, collaborate remotely where appropriate, or travel for productions. I’m also happy to work alongside your in-house creative, marketing or production team.
[007]
What do you need from us before the project starts?
Usually, I’ll need a clear understanding of what you’re trying to achieve, who the video is for, where it will be used and any existing brand or creative guidelines. From there, I can help identify anything else needed before production begins.
[008]
What if our team feels awkward on camera?
That’s very common. I’ll guide people through the shoot and keep things as natural as possible rather than expecting everyone to perform like a professional actor. For interviews and talking-head content, I can also help with questions, direction and delivery.
[009]
Who owns the final video, and how are usage rights handled?
Once the project has been completed and payment has been settled, you receive the agreed final deliverables for the intended use. Usage rights, raw footage and any additional licensing requirements can be discussed and agreed on before the project begins.
[010]
What happens after the final video is delivered?
Once the final video is approved, I’ll deliver the agreed files in the required formats. If you need additional versions, cutdowns, aspect ratios or future content from the same footage, we can discuss those as separate deliverables.
